Having had such a good time in New York during the Summer, our Youth Goup were keen to do some good works here in London. The Feast is a regular meal and support program for homeless people and for those struggling with addiction. and those with mental health issues.
Its held at Kings Church, Catford, and there were about 100 people to be served a big Christmas Dinner. After being briefed about security and safety, we set to work... I young people confidently served food, cleared tables, and washed up. As well as mingling with people, being kind, and performing in a spontaneous nativity play.
Once again, friends at the Shaftesbury can be really proud of our young people. They are a credit to us, and we thank God for each one.
